You might be unfamiliar with these two terms, but perhaps you're unfamiliar with the difference between them. Let DAAO explain.
In cosmetics contract manufacturing, the most common term is skincare OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer). Simply put, it can be referred to as "private label manufacturing." This means that skincare brands don't directly produce their products, but instead outsource production to skincare manufacturers. It's a popular production method in the modern skincare industry.
With the passage of time, the terms OEM and ODM (Original Design Manufacturer) have emerged. So, what are these?
1. Skincare OEM
Original Design Manufacturer (ODM) refers to a skincare manufacturers or manufacturer that creates, manufactures, and sells its own branded products.
2. Skincare ODM
Original Design Manufacturer (ODM) not only includes basic OEM manufacturing but also extends services to product R&D, design, manufacturing, and even ongoing maintenance. Customers simply explain the product's features, performance, or concept to the ODM service provider, who then transforms the concept from concept to reality.
DAAO integrates cosmetics R&D, production, sales and brand planning. While operating its own brand, it also provides customers with professional cosmetics OEM/ODM processing services.
